Welcome to our summer issue of Beyond Elite Magazine and our spotlight on Hoax and the comedy and tragedies of joking.  When moving into our observations and commenting on current times and incidents, I am reminded of my old-fashioned Irish grandmother that often told me, “Watch out for fooling, for fooling most often comes to crime.”

When we look around the world stage we see all this pomp and circumstance along with all the dramatic players to include the jesters and the jokers of our times and too the tails they tell and the havoc that they create in funny crimes.  We ask ourselves if it is the times to be happy or the times to cry, and just wonder which way the winds blow, and who are or are not the witches amongst us.

In this issue and all of our ways of Fashion, Sex, Politics, Entertainment and Intellect we offer many times to pause, to observe and to decree our own lives.  Enjoy our many features, editorials and articles and be mindful of the jokesters of all, and maybe even ourselves as folly makers of us.

Crisis of Confidence

A crisis or a situation of great difficulty in managing always brings up the idea of confidence or self-confident.  People become upset and threatened when their daily lives or their usual way of thinking about themselves and others is subjected to change or irregularity. Especially when they assume or take everything for granted as a regular way of thinking and acting.

Sound funny or suspicious, well yes, for if people are expecting absolute consistency and at the same time assuming and taking everything for granted isn’t that all double talk too or just an allover case of duplicity?  Well yes, for even though people are habitual about things, all they have is their habit of being habitual and clinging to habitually as they are a power-housing as a way of knowing.  So confidence is measured on one’s ability to cling onto and hang tightly to their knowing what is their absolute way and the wonder moment, moment to moment and over again, habit.  Never do they think to evaluate the situation, determine the facts and make an educated decision, when just jumping to a conclusion of their own should establish a reflection of their very own confidence, and really to hell with the safety, wisdom or probability of success much less accuracy.

When you think about it, a self-pronounced hero and know it all for all is never really threatened or is afraid of attack, for they have figured out trouble before trouble even shows up.  Confidence for them is not learning how to problem solve or how to work with the facts, but confidence is really self-assured without the facts and even in spite of the facts.  Confidence is resting assured that you will and do always rise to the situation even before the situation presents itself, a very special and highly developed manner of knowing.  Anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, worries and nervousness is not about what is going on in the moment, but really more about what is around the next corner that you have to know how to conquer ahead of time and how to end up looking great and good, but mostly about never not being able to forecast and conquer without a sweat.

So planning, contracting, cooperating, collecting, learning, following the rules or the laws is ridiculous for the average foreseer.  Being talented; rehearsed and gaining proficiency through learning how to perform and to officiate is just a waste of time, money and energy, when just be brilliant and having forethought over the top is what makes a champion.  Game on is when you are the captain and have already made a touchdown when the play hasn’t even started or taken place.

This is actually a very commonly held mindset and is displayed with bravado all over the place, especially when you find normal people.  Even though society sets up schools, trainings, lesson plans, meeting places and partnerships, most people fly solo and don’t even need wings.  They never have a crisis or a problem, they never come up short or late and are always spot on with their take on things.

As a country we have raised generations of magicians and miracle workers that fly by on sheer gumption and their own brand of ingenuity that is seen and blown out as success even when they crash and burn they claim the opposite.  As individuals we are stupid and ignorant to the facts and without the facts, no matter how much or how often we claim victory in the face of defeat and the destruction of us. I think that it time for an emergent requirement for a massive change in our attitude is due and for us to stop assigning ourselves to our graves.
